Postgraduate Education Executive Board Strategic Plan
MISSION (Core mission)
The mission of the Executive Committee for Postgraduate Education is;
To promote the training of medical professionals with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for good medical practice,
To support the training of medical professionals with the following competencies
Adopting the basic principles of lifelong learning and scientific methods,
Good communication skills,

Have the ability to perform systems-based patient care and clinical applications,
To support the training of medical professionals with the skills to provide community-oriented health care,

To promote the training of medical specialists competent in synthesis, clinical decision-making and retrieval of information throughout medical specialty training,
To promote the improvement of the research performance of the unit (Faculty of Medicine) by encouraging specialty students to participate in research activities during their training process,
To monitor the training processes of specialty students who are undergoing specialty training in the departments and sub-divisions within the Faculty of Medicine and in the Regulation on Specialization in Medicine,
To regulate the monitoring and evaluation of specialty theses with the specialty student report card, and to ensure that the thesis preparation process and specialty exams are carried out in accordance with the conditions specified in the "Regulation on Specialization in Medicine" and "Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Regulation on Medical Specialization Education and Examination of Research Assistants",
To promote the training of medical professionals who can manage a clinic independently and take necessary steps according to the needs of the day,
To prepare the conditions for the entry of the specialty student to the specialty exam at the end of specialty training.

OBJECTIVES
The strategic goal is to develop and follow the specialty education in the light of the core education programs determined by the branches of science and the current changes in specialty education; to train specialists who have the ability to provide community-oriented health services and universal values; can manage an independent clinic and improve themselves; respect human-patient and physician rights and are sensitive to the environment.
OBJECTIVES
To ensure that all specialty and subspecialty education is carried out in accordance with the core education programs determined by the relevant education councils,
To renew the web page and make it more useful and to place all specialty and subspecialty post-graduate training programs on the web page,
To ensure easier and more objective follow-up of the training processes of specialty students by switching to e-score application,
To encourage the improvement of the scientific quality of specialization theses,
To ensure that the basic specialty training courses of the Executive Board of Postgraduate Education are provided and documented through the web page with a distance education approach,
Correcting working conditions (overtime) and improving social conditions of assistants
To use the assistant representation effectively for healthy communication between specialty students and the Postgraduate Education Executive Board and to ensure the participation of the assistant representative in the board meetings by amending the Postgraduate Education Executive Board directive,
To follow the changes and developments through the "Surveys on the Status of Specialization Students" conducted every year.

STRATEGIES
Objective: To develop and follow the specialty education in the light of the core education programs determined by the branches of science and current changes in specialty education; to train specialists who have the ability to provide community-oriented health services and universal values; can manage an independent clinic and improve themselves; respect human-patient and physician rights, and are sensitive to the environment.
Strategies to be followed regarding these aims and objectives:
To improve the quality of specialty education through the development of core training programs and follow-up with e-scores,
Sharing the achievements of the medical school with the community through the media,
To improve the research and publication potential of the Faculty of Medicine,
To initiate and upgrade basic skills training in specialty education by realizing the Virtual Hospital Project,
To benefit from other hospitals (affiliated) in specialty training.
